The Allianz Real Estate GmbH (»ARE«) Senior Corporate Counsel is to support the ARE Head of Corporate Legal with a broad range of legal, regulatory and governance matters. This position will be based in Munich.
This position requires a professional who can flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts in priorities as business needs dictate. 

The ARE Senior Corporate Counsel (m/f/d) is responsible for legal matters in relation to ARE’s corporate activities globally. The primary responsibilities include:
Central point of contact for all legal matters outside of ARE’s investment activities
Corporate law advice and «corporate housekeeping» for ARE GmbH, its branches and activities.
Individual projects such as mergers, establishing new branches or subsidiaries etc.
Alignment with legal colleagues in other ARE offices globally, to implement and ensure compliance with global standards
Legal advice on contracts with third parties, including clients, affiliated companies, service providers, IT suppliers etc. Development of legal standards globally, where necessary
Legal monitoring with regard to new and changing laws and regulations
Development of and support in relation to internal rules such as procurement policies and investment guidelines
Coordinating rules of representation, powers of attorneys
Legal advice of applicable regulations (e.g. AIFMD), where relevant. Alignment with other functions such as Compliance, Marketing & Communications, product development and distribution etc.
Coordinating corporate insurances (through insurance brokers and advisers)
Assessing governance requirements, 3-lines-of-defense
Coordinating with third parties such as shareholders and auditors, for example in relation to annual accounts and regulatory reportings

Professional Skills Requirements
Broad knowledge of German corporate, civil and commercial laws and a good understanding of legal implications in an international environment
Exceptional organizational skills; the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, follow up, produce consistently accurate work, and meet strict deadlines
Hands-on approach, allowing pragmatic solutions where adequate in light of the identified risks, and high technical legal standards where necessary
Ambition to independently assess risks and provide advice, and to take responsibility
Have a strong sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed values and ethical principles of ARE
Ability to identify areas of improvement and to proactively develop solutions

Admission to the German Bar / Anwaltszulassung; above average exam grades
Minimum of 6 years working experience as legal counsel in an international environment, either in an international law firm and/or a large cooperation
Strong communication skills in German and English; Any additional language is an asset
